Building pathways to
Meaningful work
Dalio Education partners with employers and youth-serving organizations to help young people who are disconnected from school and work access the support, skills, and opportunities they need to build a more stable future.
Workforce Partnerships
Reconnection is only the beginning
Through workforce partnerships, Dalio Education helps create career pathways that provide skills, support, and real opportunities for young people who have experienced disconnection and barriers to success.
Why this work matters
OUR FOCUS
Pathways designed for real life
Traditional workforce programs are not always built for young people facing complex barriers. Dalio Education supports models that combine career training with the practical and personal support needed to help young people succeed.
Addressing
barriers
Supporting young people as they navigate challenges such as transportation, childcare, housing, food security, and other basic needs.
Building skills
Helping participants develop technical, professional, and social-emotional skills that prepare them for long-term employment.
Creating opportunity
Working with employers and community partners to open pathways into meaningful careers, continued learning, and economic mobility.
A shared model for long-term success
Dalio Education invests in partnerships that bring together the strengths of employers, community-based organizations, and young people themselves.
Â
These partnerships are designed to meet young people where they are, provide the support they need to stay engaged, and create pathways that extend beyond a single program or job placement.
How we partner
Why this work matters
Not just employment.
Momentum.
Workforce partnerships help young people build the confidence, stability, and experience to move forward; in work, in life, and in their future careers.
Current initiatives
Workforce partnerships in action
Dalio Education supports career pathway models across Connecticut, including employer-led programs and community-based initiatives that help young people access training, support, and real-world work experience.
Healthcare pathways
Academy for Career Readiness at Norwalk Hospital
Dalio Education and Northwell Health have partnered to launch the Academy for Career Readiness, located at Norwalk Hospital. The Academy for Career Readiness is a program that prepares young adults in Norwalk and Stamford who are disconnected from school and work to enter and succeed in healthcare career pathways.
Participants receive individualized support, paid job-readiness programming, exposure to healthcare careers, and coaching to help them build the skills and experience needed to thrive in a full-time position.
Manufacturing pathways
Manufacturing and Technical Community Hub — MATCH
MATCH helps people in greater New Haven who face barriers to employment prepare for self-sustaining careers in manufacturing.
The program combines technical training, professional skill-building, case management, and job coaching to help participants enter and remain in the workforce.
Supporting young people through trusted local partners
Across the Connecticut Opportunity Project portfolio, community-based organizations are also helping young people reconnect to education, employment, and career opportunities.
These initiatives may take different forms, but they share a common purpose: helping young people build skills, stability, and confidence through supported pathways into work.
Community-based career pathways
A stronger bridge to the
Future
Dalio Education’s workforce partnerships are part of a broader commitment to helping young people move from disconnection to opportunity.
By aligning community support, employer engagement, and long-term investment, these pathways help young people take meaningful steps toward stability, self-sufficiency, and future success.
